Hola to all,
I sincerely apologize about yesterday´s title...I didn´t mean to frighten you all. I have learned not to do that again. Forgive me. And forgive me for breaking your Spanish paella loving heart, Vanessa.
Today was another very productive walking day. Another 36 clicks. When we awoke this morning, I was a little horrified that it was raining and that we were actually going to walk in it, but it let up very quickly. Today was actually the first day it felt like a Sunday. For the most part, I have no idea what day it is because every day is a walking day but today I was dragging my butt a bit...that lazy Sunday kind of feeling. Until...I had some fresh fruit and an espresso. Bueno!
We did 8 and a half hours today, with a few breaks of course. We are building up our stamina (and layers of skin on our feet!) I can´t get over how perfect Stephen´s feet still are. He doesn´t have one blister or sore on his feet. I have the remains of 3 blisters that I took care of early on but they don´t look nearly as nice as his! As soon as we´re done, it´s pedicure time. (I´ll miss you Lisa!) And we ended up at a beautifully maintained refugio run by a British confraternity. They served us 4pm tea and took us to Vesper service 20 mins ago where I was asked to do a scripture reading. The majority of the service was done in Gregorian chant by the local monks.
As for tomorrow, we will ascend to the highest peak of the whole camino. 1515 m, I believe. Aparently there´s a guy who lives on the mountain named Tomas who thinks he´s the last of the Knights Templar. He sounds like a character; we are hoping to meet him tomorrow.
Happy Sunday everyone!
xo,
Andrea & Stephen

You are doing great, wow 36 km is impressive! I
absolutely love reading your blogs and look
forward to seeing more pics.

I would give anything to share a pedi with you
right now! When you get back, we'll have to do it
'Lisa-Style' for a pre-birthday celebration!
Say hey to Tomas for me - I'm still looking for a
white knight...altough by the sounds of it, he's
probably brown from the Spanish sun!
Miss you and can't wait to hear more about your
adventures. xo L

Hello Beautiful Ones :)
Just want to reaffirm my virtual reality pleasure
I have reading your daily posts! I'm impressed
Andrea that you are so good at logging posts so
often, it's so exciting, let alone being impressed
& inspired about your daily journeys. You guys
rock!
I'm also curious to know if you or Stephen have
had any "metaphysical"
experiences/insights hiking on these energetic ley
lines that you wished to share? Any ufos yet
(lol)? Say hello to Tomas for me since I'm looking
for a Knights Templar myself :)
lotsa love,
Helen of Toronto*

Hi Guys! Your trip is sounding wonderful. I was
also one of the people who reacted to yesterdays
title. I saw hospital and thought of many
possibilities. Glad to hear you are both well.
Andrea, I love the picture of you kissing your new
bull friend. You make a very cute couple. I'm
thinking he may have some anger issues though so
beware :)
I am back from my trip and had a fantastic time.
I've posted some pictures onto Facebook if you
find you have some time I'd love for you to see
them. I have chosen not to continue eating a 100%
raw food diet and feel good about that.
Keep the updates coming. I'm living vicariously
through you both.
Be well.
Amber
