Corfu, 10pm
Ah...we have had two full absolutely relaxing days here at our beautiful resort in Corfu. The beach is very nice, the water is refreshing and our hotel is perfect. It's such a refreshing change to the hostels we have been staying in.
Our routine is basically: wake up, go to the buffet breakfast, go to the beach, go to the buffet lunch, go to the pool, possibly the beach again, shower, change and go to the buffet dinner! I honestly don't think I have ever eaten 3 buffets a day before...(And we thought we ate a lot in Italy!)
Today Stephen took a nap in the afternoon and I just hung out by the pool reading and tanning. When he woke up, he came down and had this beautiful yellow butterfly on his hand. I have never seen one stay so still before- especially perched on a person! He said it was on the ground outside our room and it looked like it's wings might be damaged somehow. He put his hand out and it crawled onto him. It stayed perched in the same place for a good ten minutes by the time he had walked from our room to the pool. Then he held it out to me and it crawled onto my shoulder. I was shocked at how still it was. Another 15 minutes went by and I was actually worried it might be dying because it would not budge. I finally put my hand out to see if it would go anywhere else and it just flew away. I guess it must have liked us :) It felt magical somehow to have a creature that seems so ethereal and untouchable to stay still with you for so long...it was a very cool experience.
Tonight was karaoke night. I did a couple of tunes including one of my favourite to sing, Madonna's "Like a Prayer". Stephen moved through his fear and got up and did "The Scientist" by Coldplay. I thought he did very well :) Then he had the host call me up to do a "mystery tune" of his selection. What did he pick? "SOS" by ABBA! No matter where I go, no matter what I do, ABBA follows me :)
So that was our day. I'm sure there will

Sounds like you are having a great time. I said it before and I will say it again, I love the inclusive and the buffet. I also love the butterfly episode, he knew that you liked him. Have fun eating, swimming, and relaxing.............. lots of love
