Vada, 7pm
Ahhhh...we found the white sands beach today. Woke up early and went to meet the group to pick out my bike. I love it! It's a "classic" style meaning no speed adjustments, just handle breaks with skinny wheels and a crate on the back. It's just what I wanted so that I can ride to classes every day which are in the next town so it should be about a 30 minute bike ride to a town called Rosignano. As soon as I got it, I sped away, super excited and went in search of this beach we had heard so much about. It wasn't long to get there at all and as I pulled up I breathed a sigh of joy as I saw the expanse of beautiful beach in front of me. This is what we have been waiting for! It was busy but not nearly as much as the other beach because it is so much more vast. The sand was white, the water was turqouise and the sun was good and hot today. Except for a brief ranicloud that blew over in 10 minutes, we had a very relaxing day there. Stephen even got a head-to-toe massage from this sweet Asian woman on the beach for 15 €. He said it was actually better than the one he got in Spain at the spa. I just may need to get one myself :)
We just got back from Rosignano. They took us there to check out the workshop site which is basically a community college with really nice facilities and studios for us to work in. We also met a few of the instructors today too...everyone seems really excited to be here. We begin tomorrow at 9:15am.
Other than that, just finding our way around town still. We've scoped out our favourite gelato spot and pizza for 1 €. Will let you all know how class goes tomorrow...
Bueno notte,

Watched a movie this morning on Italy and I did see those beautiful white sand beaches and coral waters. I did think of you guys at the time, how lucky! Sounds great, and good luck with your classes. Lots of love!

Andrea please take a pic of you on that bike,
