Hi all,
Just got in from dinner- Stephen and I split a pilgrim´s meal of vino tinto (red wine), bread, garlic soup and green beans soaked in olive oil, followed by an orange (in the peel) for dessert. All the towns do what is called a Pilgrim´s Menu for less than 10 €.
We are so tired tonight. Another 30 km walk- they should come with a warning not to do 2 in a row. A lot of the terrain was on pavement today- now I totally get that expression "pounding the pavement"- it was pretty brutal. I now have 3 blisters, one on each pinkie toe and one on the side of my heel. They say you should thread a needle through them and leave the thread so they wick out the moisture. Going to try it tonight...we´ll see what happens. We`re just grateful we have each other for massages.
As for photos, they will have to wait. None of the computers at the big hostels have memory card slots so I can´t upload anything right now. And also, I am taking photos sparingly right now as I didn´t pack the battery charger- too much extra weight in the bag and something had to go- so I am waiting until we get our bags back in Paris to charge everything up and use my little portable computer again.
We are in a town called Najero today. Very cute town, really nice waterfront. We were lying out in the shade all afternoon, maximizing our relaxation time. I think I´m off to bed soon...let´s hope I can catch some zzzz´s tonight. I have been sleeping on top bunks lately- they freak me out a bit- and there are so many snoring bears at night, it´s not even funny. Here´s crossing my fingers that the bottom bunk will be better tonight.
Only 21km tomorrow! Yippee! (Seriously though, we are having a great time...our bodies are just having to get used to it fast!) (:
Until next time...
Adios,

I was just thinking about blisters. If not taken care of can be very nasty. I looked up where you have been traveling and it mentioned wine country. I hope that you get that bottom bed, I didnt realize that there were so many using the hostels. Its good that tomorrow is a short day, R&R, in our language rest and relaxtion. Love you guys
