Well, I think today has been the closest thing to just a regular old Friday for us lately. Woke up, helped Stephen with some emails, wandered over to the hair salon to find out about highlights...I took a big time chance today actually...decided that since my hair was already leaning towards blonde, I could add some gold and lighter pieces to give it that fresh summery look. (Now that I´ve gone darker just because I could, I felt like going lighter again, just because I can;) You´re probably thinking, that´s not really taking a chance because I´ve been blonde before BUT it is a big chance when you don´t speak Spanish and it takes you 20 minutes to describe what you want to the point you think the colourists have actually understood you. Some of you may have heard about my hair horror stories of the past...(My dear friend Chrissy even witnessed one first-hand in University when I walked out with fluorescent hues of tiger-striped yellow, orange and green "blonde" hair! I nearly crashed the car on the way home!) Remember the good old days, Chrissy? LOL ;) So I was a little wary of what I was getting into but I surrendered and hoped for the best. Got a little nervous at one point when one stylist removed a foil to check the colour and quickly called the other one over, speaking frantic Spanish back and forth as one ran to the sink to get water and a sponge to wash out the colour on various pieces. But-thank God- it turned out just the way I wanted. Hallelujah!
While I was enjoying my girly time, Stephen went to get a massage which he says was a little strange because the masseuse made him wear a thong...he´s still recovering...The Europeans clearly are not shy. We saw later evidence of this on the beach by the number of topless women running around. At Islas Cies yesterday, there were even a couple of them playing Ping Pong! (You´re welcome, boys. Just trying to paint an accurate picture of our experience here :)
After the beach we did a couple of errands, looked for coin laundry but couldn´t find one so Stephen created a makeshift washer out of our bathtub in which he re-enacted the I Love Lucy episode where Ethel and Lucy are at the vinyard squashing grapes with their feet, only Stephen was ingeniusly washing our laundry the same way! (He has clean perfect feet, remember) It worked quite well, actually.
Then dinner, then a walk downtown, a few hands of Crazy 8´s and here I am writing the blog. Ah...and three more days of roughly the same until we board our planes for Paris (to get our luggage) and then Italia (for a month of music and monuments, vinyards and-- oh yeah--pizza & gelato!)
Sleepytime...Sweet dreams everyone...
Blessings,
Andrea & Stephen

You are too funny. I hope Stephen did not have
thong nightmares. Good thing Ken Chong is not
there he would really have sore eyes...lol.
Just love reading the updates.

Thats a regular type Friday to you guys, but my Fridays are pretty boring. No hair colouring in Spanish, no thongs for a massage, and definitely no topless boobs playing table tennis and I really didnt know about Steves perfect feet. I do remember Lucys episode squashing the grapes. Love you guys and it is sweet dreams for you right now.

It all sounds so heavenly. I know I'm a broken
record, but I love hearing about all your
adventures - big and small! Can't wait to hear
about all the food in Italy - and your vocal
program, of course!
I got a pedicure this afternoon at that place I
took you to in the beach. Thought of you when I
saw the purple polish!
And you are beautiful - no matter what colour your
hair is!
Much love and safe travels....Lisa :)
