Rosignano, 10am
Well, Stephen and I just completed one of our last workouts at the gym. We have really enjoyed being able to keep in shape this month. And I am sad to say goodbye to my bicycle tomorrow...I have really enjoyed the freedom of riding anywhere and everywhere I want to go.
The showing went very well the other night. It's funny to me how I still get nervous right before a show...once I'm up there, it's all good but it's those few moments before that just tie my stomach in knots. All went very well and I felt good about my pieces. Everyone was pretty pleased about it and at the same time relieved as it was stressing people out for the last week or so. There was a small audience of about 15 people, mostly locals who are friends of the program director. All in all, a good night. It was wonderful to see so many people grow in such a short time, especially the other singers I was working with. Everyone came with their own goals and challenges to work on and each person really rose to the occasion.
Yesterday, we took a day-trip with the group to Volterra, a town that has become famous thanks to the "Twilight" series of books. Luckily, I didn't encounter any vampires yesterday, but had a nice tour around the medieval town. Lots of beautiful buildings and architecture and even the ruins of an ancient Roman theatre...got me excited for when we go to Greece :)
Today we are going to a wine tasting and lunch at a vinyard in Bolgheri. It's supposed to be beautiful with a fantastic spread of meats, chesses, grilled vegetables, and of course wine, for lunch. Really looking forward to it...We have our wrap up party tomorrow night at a restaurant/bar called Sopravento, Sunday all to ourselves, and then we're off to Rome again to meet up with my parents, as they have a brief stopover on the 28th. It worked out pretty perfectly. PS- If you're reading this Dad, Happy Birthday! Hope you're having a great day at sea or in port or wherever you happen to be today :) Can't wait to see you and Christine!
Well, I must ride back to town to meet the group but we wish you all a fantastic weekend!
Arrivederci,
Andrea & Stephen

already!
Too funny, I have almost finished reading the
"Twilight" series! Can't believe you
got to go there!
Summer is still lukewarm here - you certainly
picked the best one to take off!
Good luck with the next phase of your journey! xo
