Hola amigos!

Well, we haven't seen sun yet but we're in good spirits nonetheless.  Internet is free here so already that's something to smile about!  We are in El Burgo Ranero today.  There were 2 camino paths to choose from today...one ws 26km with only 20 places in one hostel or our choice, 30km with 3 albergues and many places.  We are finding that the path is getting busier the closer we get to Santiago and many hostels are filling up for the night.  Lucky for us early birds, we always get the worm.  We generally leave before everybody else in the morning and we are usually the first to arrive.  Today was our earliest departure yet/ 5.30am.  It was so dark we could barely see the yellow arrows pointing out the proper direction, but that's all part of the fun and adventure.  Also, I am finding that I am getting more limber as we go along.  We stretch out every day after our walk and today was the first day I didn't feel pain in my hamstrings.  Hooray!

We are meeting lots of amazing people as well.  There are a few people who have been on the same schedule as us since the beginning including this great couple from South Africa, Pauline and Morrell, a woman from Holland, Joanne, who I have dubbed "the speed walker", and many new friends along the way too.  I think we will have some great places to stay as we continue our travels. 

We had a great dinner last night/ the Peregino meal, as they call it.  Garlic soup, sauteed veg and an awesome cheese omelette.  We were sitting with these two Italian men who have been rolling their backpacks on wheels the entire time.  They say they have bad backs and that is the best way for them.  As we are learning around here, everyone does the Camino their own individual way.
